As we approach the Season of Lent, protocols must be maintained to ensure the safety of all. Celebrations, such as The Feast of St. Blaise, Ash Wednesday, and Holy Week, remain non-obligatory and will be offered both in-person and live stream.
On
February 17, 2021, Ash Wednesday, NO mark will be made on the forehead. The Vatican has modified the rite for the distribution of ashes during this time of health crisis. Their mandate is that we shall sprinkle the ashes over the head of each person who comes forward.
Reservations will be required for Ash Wednesday (Signup will open on Wednesday, February 10 after 7 pm)
On
March 28, 2021, Palm Sunday: Palms will be blessed and distributed outside after each of the three weekend Masses.
On
April 1, 2021, Holy Thursday: The Mandatum (The Washing of Feet) is suspended this year.
On
April 2, 2021, Good Friday: The Cross is venerated by the celebrant alone at the Liturgy of the Lord's Passion. The faithful may genuflect or bow to the Cross at the time of their departure. Special care should be used to observe social distancing as the members of the congregation depart.
On
April 3, 2021, Easter Vigil: At this time, it appears that the Easter Sacraments, including the baptism of adults, will be celebrated in the customary way.
Reservations will be required for Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday Masses.
